Veganuary Checklist

Veganuary is an annual event that takes place every January. It was established back in 2014 to encourage people to try a vegan lifestyle for a month and experience the benefits for themselves.

During Veganuary, participants commit to eating only plant-based foods for the entire month. The event aims to promote and educate people on how beneficial a vegan lifestyle can be for animals, health, and the environment.

By going vegan, you can help reduce animal suffering, lower your risk of certain health problems like heart disease and diabetes, and reduce your carbon footprint. Veganism is a great way to live more sustainably and make a positive impact on the world around us.

Veganuary has grown tremendously over the years, with over a million people participating in the event since its inception. It has become a global movement, inspiring people all over the world to make the switch to a plant-based lifestyle.

What is Veganuary?

Veganuary is a movement that encourages people to try eating a vegan diet for the entire month of January. This entails removing animal products from your diet, like meat, dairy, eggs, or honey, and instead focusing on plant-based foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes.

The main goal of Veganuary is to raise awareness about the benefits of a plant-based diet for our health, the environment, and animal welfare. By joining in with Veganuary, you can discover new and delicious plant-based foods, reduce your carbon footprint, and help prevent animal cruelty.

If you’re interested in trying Veganuary, many resources and support are available online, including recipes, meal plans, and tips for transitioning to a vegan lifestyle. We have created a veganuary checklist to help you on your way.

You can also sign up on the official website and receive support throughout the month. It’s a great way to challenge yourself and make a positive change in your life.

What is Vegan?

What is vegan and Veganism? Well is an animal-free and cruelty free lifestyle, where you exclude items of food or any form of animal-derived products—for example: like meat, fish, milk, cheese, eggs, honey, and dairy yoghurts. Instead, you eat foods made only from plants, like vegetables, fruits, pulses, and beans.

There are now many alternatives available from fake meats, plant based milk, even soya, nut or coconut cheeses and you just need to find your favourite.

Look out for the vegan society mark to verify its vegan safe and look for the cruelty-free marks to confirm nothing is tested on animals.

You don’t need to do it all at once, take it slow and at your own pace. Keep your end goal in mind and don’t beat yourself up if you get something wrong.

Don’t give up! You can do this!

Veganuary is a great way to challenge yourself, learn about new foods, and make a positive impact on the planet!
