Travel document are essential for a great holiday. Without these items your holiday will finish before it has even began.

We all spend hours packing our suitcases for our holidays and thinking about clothes for the beach, Lets not forget the most important things that we need to make the trip our essential holiday travel documents.

Here is a travel document checklist.

Flights, Trains, Ferries, Accomodation, Transfers, and Excursion.

Passports are travel document that serves as certification of your identity and nationality.

Make sure at least six months left before it expires as it is now required to be valid for at least six months beyond the completion of a trip.

Travel will cover you if your luggage is lost or stolen, as well as medical emergency expensives.

European Health Insurance Cards (EHIC) if European travelling EU countries.

If taking your car do you need a green card and have you notified your car insurance and taken out recovery insurance.

Parking your car at the airport while on holiday.These can be on site parking, off siteparking or even hotls with free parking included with a stay.

Hiring a car abroad requires rental agreement and if you have prepaid voucher that you must take. Also confirm what else you will be required to provide, Licence, Licence Code and Deposits.

Travel visas allows you to visit foreign country as a tourist for a predetermined amount of time. Do you need visas for where you are travelling? Have you applied?

Check if you need an international driving permit (IDP).

If travelling further afield maybe consider consulate details

Keeping Copies of all documents in images on your phone so easily accessed or email a copy to yourself so easily retrieved.

Also leave details with family or friends so if you phone was lost they could easily supply anything you need.

Also consider if your phone was lost have emergency contact phone number details written down.

Have you notified your bank where you will be?

Have emergency telephone numbers, account details, available to cancel cards in emergency.
