Travel vaccines against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world. Find out which vaccines and boosters you need for your travels.

Arrange to see your Doctor several weeks before you go away on holiday.

Carry enough medication for the length of your holiday and allow for any possible delays. Also take a copy of your prescription details in case you need more while away.

A first aid kit is for emergencies and prompt treatment can prevent infection or a trip to A&E.

Plasters, lister plasters, antiseptic cream, bandages, tweezers, scissors, aftersun, bite cream, disposable gloves and hand sanitiser.

Avoid annoying mosquitos and protect yourself from harmful bites. Various different repellents repel a wide range of different types of insects.

Insect & mosquito repellent sprays, plugins, wristbands & nets.

Stay safe in the sun. Use sun protection that offers both UVA and UVB protection.

Sunglasses and hat.

Motion sickness can make your trip very uncomfortable whether on a plane, train, bus, or ship.

New countried new adventures but also potential for new allergies.

Antihistamine tablets help combat symptoms, like bites, runny nose, itchy eyes, and sneezing.

Note: Watch out for drowsiness.

Can help with common travel ailments analgesic (pain relief) medicine like paracetamol, ibuprofen or aspirin.

Better to take pain medicine so you can focus on being a tourist instead of lying in bed all day wasting precious time.

Dehydration occurs when your body loses more fluid than you take in. Warm places, stomach upsets, sickness can all cause dehydration.

It’s important to replace the essential body electrolytes and minerals like potassium, glucose and salt, which power your body.

Often caused by contaminated food and water. Diarrhoea can happen anywhere you travel to so it’s a good idea to bring an anti-diarrheal medication no matter what your destination.

Constipation is never pleasant – especially when you’re travelling or on holiday.

Many people often get constipation when travelling and on holiday so prepare ahead of time if its something that affect you.

It’s great to experience new cuisines and drinks but you don’t want to be stuck with stomach ache or heartburn.

Don’t forget to plan ahead when it comes to your birth control.

Consider packing emergency contraception in case your birth control malfunctions.

You could face a fine or prison if you travel with medicine that’s illegal in another country.

Some countries have different rules on medical drugs check with the embassy of the country you’re going to before you.
