So when it comes to quitting your job the idea might be frightening or a step into the unknown. But more exciting is that you have a new and exciting job offer on the horizon. Whether that is for a completely different sector or even the same sector and going to work for your employers competitor.
First things first is writing your resignation letter, make sure that it isn’t too long and straight to the point. Make sure to talk to your boss and make sure to hand the resignation letter direct to keep on a good relationship.
Remember if you are going to work for competitor, make sure to read the competitor clauses and account for your holiday entitlement within your notice period.

Look online, newspaper, agencies, contacts and LinkedIn to start you search to find jobs.
Write a Resignation Letter
It doesn’t have to be long and great detail about your reasons for leaving.
Tell Your Boss
Don’t tell anyone else until your boss knows.
Submit Your Resignation
Hand in your notice in person if you can.
Formal letter to HR so can go on your employment record.
Notice Period When Resigning
Check your employment contract for what contractual obligations you need to fulfill.
Are you going to work for a competitor? This might require you to go on gardening leave.
Outstanding holiday still owed
